Canal+ bundles TV, streaming, and internet in French Caribbean territories; customers save

Households in French Caribbean islands consolidate TV, streaming, and internet into single monthly bills.

Canal+ is pitching a single bill where there used to be two or three. The operator has launched bundled television, streaming, and fiber internet packages across Reunion and the French Caribbean, with savings reaching 20 euros monthly for households previously paying separate bills. The new offerings combine the company's premium content platform with fiber-optic connectivity under one subscription. Customers access television, streaming services, and internet through the Canal+ app on compatible devices. The pricing structure was redesigned to accommodate different subscriber profiles: existing customers upgrading service, households receiving fiber for the first time, and viewers accustomed to streaming apps and smart televisions who have never purchased traditional cable packages. Flexibility sits at the center of the design. Subscriptions are available with or without long-term contracts and with or without set-top boxes. Canal+ explicitly cited economic pressure on households as a factor shaping the new offerings, addressing consumer demand to balance service quality, content depth, and cost control. Lea Borgne, General Director of Canal+ Reunion-Mayotte, announced the overhaul publicly. She emphasized the goal of simplifying daily subscriber experience by consolidating content, fiber access, and multi-screen viewing in one ecosystem. Borgne also highlighted the company's local commitment, noting that content offerings reflect the culture and daily life of the territories where Canal+ operates. That regional focus, she stated, distinguishes the operator's positioning in overseas French territories and places it as a full telecommunications player rather than merely a channel distributor. By contrast, the numbers Canal+ chose to lead with are not about reach or revenue. They are about satisfaction. CSA Research 2026 surveys conducted in Reunion show that more than nine in ten fiber subscribers rate the Canal+ connection as technically reliable, and more than nine in ten platform subscribers judge the programming and channels as high quality. The company cited both figures to support the initiative. On August 3, 2026, Canal+ launched a campaign titled "An Offer From Elsewhere" across television, radio, outdoor advertising, and digital platforms. The push targets the broadest pool of potential subscribers in Reunion as the group consolidates its presence in both entertainment and telecommunications. Whether bundling at this price point shifts subscriber behavior in the French Caribbean, or simply retains customers who might otherwise have unbundled, remains the open question heading into the campaign's first full quarter.
